Using the ‘P’ Word: Identifying and Developing Potential
We are excited to say that this year’s event will be a two day conference on September 23rd and 24th Pooks Hill Marriott in Bethesda
On Friday, September 23rd, Dr. Stephen Shore, well known author and professor, will offer a half day CE workshop for professionals.
On Saturday, September 24th, we will host our traditional, full day, special learning needs conference, that will focus on educating parents, but, for which, professionals are also welcome. The topic for this year is, “Using the ‘P’ Word: Identifying and Developing Potential.”
Dr. Shore will do a keynote, “College for Students with Disabilities: We Do Belong.”
We also have a panel of successful alumni from DC area schools that serve students with special needs, and a presentation on the legal aspects of identifying and developing potential from Michael Eig and his associate, Paula Rosenstock.
The day will also include a variety of break out sessions aimed at parents of students, with a variety of disabilities, in all age groups from pre-school to high school.
We hope to see you there.
Online attendee registration will begin in June 2016.
