Using the ‘P’ Word: Identifying and Developing POTENTIAL
We are excited that this year’s event will be a two day conference on September 23rd and 24that the Pooks Hill Marriott in Bethesda
On Friday, September 23rd acclaimed author and professor Dr. Stephen Shore will offer a half day CE workshop for professionals entitled Evaluating Different Approaches for Supporting Children with Autism.
On Saturday, September 24th, we will host our traditional, full day, special learning needs conference, that will focus on educating parents, but, for which, professionals are also welcome. The topic for this year is, “Using the ‘P’ Word: Identifying and Developing Potential.”
At the General Conference on Saturday, September 24, Dr. Shore will deliver the keynote, “College for Students with Disabilities: We Do Belong.”
We also have a panel of successful alumni from DC area schools that serve students with special needs, and a presentation on the legal aspects of identifying and developing potential from Michael Eig and his associate, Paula Rosenstock.
The day will also include a variety of break out sessions aimed at parents of students, with a variety of disabilities, in all age groups from pre-school to high school.
